SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Baqer (AS) who said: If you want to know there is good in you or not, look at your heart. If you like those who obey God, and do not like those who commit sins, there is good in you, and God likes you. But if your heart does not like those who obey God, and likes those who commit sins, know that there is no good in you and God does not like you, and every human being stays with someone who he/she likes [1]. SHAFAQNA-Do you know what your tears look like at a microscopic level? Dutch artist Maurice Mikkers does, and he’s been looking at hundreds of them. It seems that our tears can be as unique as snowflakes, and have a similar crystallised look under a microscope. Mikkers was a lab technician before he went to art school, and has yet to find two tears that look alike. He’s also investigating how temperature, humidity, and even the cause of the crying can influence a tear’s structure. “[A] dark field microscope will light up the tear on a black background, so you can actually see the beautiful pattes and shapes,” Mikkers says in the Quartz video above. “I think tears are so unexplored. We need ...

SHAFAQNA –If you thought the cancer of Terror under control, you most certainly did not read, or heard about Balochistan. But then again why would you when the lives of faraway Balochs weigh little in the balance of Weste politics? Quetta is no Paris! On August 8, 2016, a horrific suicide attack took place in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s province Balochistan claiming the lives of over 70 civilians, notwithstanding dozens upon dozens of casualties. Should such a violent and bloody attack had hit a Weste capital you can be sure the outpouring of grief and condemnation would have long flooded the world wide web – a grand righteous cry against the evil of Islamic terrorism. But like I said...

SHAFAQNA – Amal contacted me two years ago. She was 30 years old, a junior university professor, and she needed help. For four years her father had beaten her, locked her in her room, and threatened to stop her from working because she wanted to marry a non-Saudi professor. Now she wanted to explore a potential escape from the country of her birth, Saudi Arabia. For a Saudi woman, personal choice is a luxury. Her decisions must conform to her male guardian’s. Only women with agreeable guardians can control their lives. The rest must live with whatever limitations their guardians dictate. Amal consulted a lawyer, but it left her even more desperate. Courts approve less than five percent of a...

SHAFAQNA –Al Jazeera owned online news portal AJ+ aired a documentary explaining differences of belief between Shia and our Sui brothers. SHAFAQNA – Hypocrisy is a very ugly and shameful characteristic which the noble human being is never endowed with it, because it causes disgrace in this world and torment in the hereafter. The cure for this inappropriate characteristic is in two stages: In the first stage, thinking about the result of this wicked act, and the second stage which is practical, the human being for a while carefully observes his/her own behaviour and movements. (And then) act opposite the desires of the soul, and correct his/her own actions and sayings in open and in private, and avoid pretending, and in all this time ask God for help (to be able to) defeat inappropriate desires of soul, and (Gog) be with him/...

SHAFAQNA –France has done it again. The arrogant Weste power has once again spoken against Muslim women while alleging to speak for their freedom, and civil liberties – this liberation entails of course the removal of the hijab! What is it with France and the hijab? My question is not a rhetorical one … Why does the French Republic find the hijab so offensive, and more importantly why does it feel entitled to assume that women are being forced into it. Is that difficult to fathom that women could actually choose modesty for themselves? Are French women so weak-minded that French society would automatically assume that any female entire must have been chosen for them? This fixation on the hi...
