SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about broadcasting music from Mosques on the occasion of birthdays of infallible Imams (AS).

Question: Is it religiously right to broadcast happy music from Mosques on the occasion of the birthdays of infallible Imams (AS)?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: It is obvious that the Mosque has a special religious place; therefore, if broadcasting music from there is against the sanctity of the Mosque is Haram even if the music played is of allowed type.
