SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Rouhani answered a question about maintaining ties with Sui relatives.
Question: What is the ruling about maintaining ties with the following individuals?
a) Those relatives who are Sui.
b) Those who make fun of religious laws.
c) Those who father and mother have ordered to cut the ties with them.
The Grand Ayatollah Rouhani:
a) The ties with Sui relatives must not be cut.
b) It is allowed to cut ties with those who make fun of religious laws especially if cutting ties will make them not to make fun of the Divine Laws.
c) It is not necessary to obey father and mother in cutting ties with close relatives.
