SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Rouhani answered questions about repentance by an apostate.
Question: Is repentance by an apostate acceptable or not? Is the religious punishment for such a person cease to be valid?
The Grand Ayatollah Rouhani: It is accepted between that person and Allah (SWT) and he is saved in the hereafter; but the religious punishment remains valid.
