SHAFAQNA – Thousands of Muslims came together to celebrate the end of Ramadan in Birmingham yesterday.

In aerial footage shot from a drone, people can be seen praying out in the open in a city park as they complete their Eid prayers, known as the Salat al-Eid.

The celebration is thought to have been the biggest in Europe, as people marked the festival of Eid al-Fitr ending the holy fasting month when observant Muslims avoid food and drink from sunrise to sunset.
