Islamic Center of Hamburg hosts Quran reading session Ramadan month

SHAFAQNA – The Islamic Center of Hamburg, Germany, will host a Quran reading session on the 15th of the holy month of Ramadan (June 21).

The center aounced that the program will be organized on the occasion of the birthday aiversary of Imam Hassan (AS) in Mid-Ramadan.

It has also plaed a Quranic competition titled “Divine Ceremony” in the holy month, the wiers of which will be awarded in the Quranic session.

Tarteel recitation of Quran, recitation of Iftitah Supplication, religious speeches, Quran teaching classes, special ceremonies on Ghadr nights and mouing ceremony on Imam Ali’s (AS) martyrdom aiversary are some other programs of the center during Ramadan.

The aual fasting month of Ramadan on the Islamic lunar calendar began on Tuesday.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast as an effective way of practicing self-discipline. They are also expected to strengthen their character through self-restraint, charitable-giving and introspection.

Reading and contemplating the Holy Quran is also a major activity for Muslims during the holy month.
