The ruling about smoking at the place with a “smoking is forbidden” sign/the Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s answer

  • SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about smoking at the place with a “smoking is forbidden” sign. Question: In some buses and other vehicles is written “smoking is forbidden”, is smoking allowed in such places? The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: if this case is depending on the implicit condition that the passenger in that vehicle has accepted, and/or such a thing is the govemental rule which after entering the country must be observed, it is necessary to act accordingly and doing the opposite is not allowed. • Houthi forces capture Saudi border points

  • SHAFAQNA – The Houthi forces, backed by the Yemeni Republican Guard, seized a number of points inside the Midi Desert near the Saudi-Yemeni border today, advancing as far north as the Jizan Region of Saudi Arabia. According to Al-Masdar’s Yemen War correspondent, Tony Toh, the Houthi forces and their allies killed 41 fighters from the Saudi-led Coalition on Monday after seizing a number of sites from the latter. Making matters worse for the Saudi-led Coalition, the Houthi forces continued their advance in the Najran Valley, as they captured new points near the provincial capital. The Saudi-led Coalition’s recent losses in the Jizan and Najran regions has taken a toll on their morale, as they struggle to beat back the anti-govement forces invading the southe part of their country. • SHAFAQNA- بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم  Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) message to the people on the Day of Ghadeer and its significance The Introduction: The day of Ghadeer (18th Zilhajj) is a very important day in the history of Islam and every Muslim irrespective of his sect or creed should be well versed with it. It is the day when in the words of Allah, the Almighty, He “perfected” His religion and “completed” His bounties on the people. The Almighty Allah declares in Surah Maidah (5) – Verse 3 الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا “Today I have perfected your religion and completed my favour upon you, and I am satisfied that Islam be your religion.” Request our noble readers to kindly take note of the words “perfected” and “completed” which Allah, the All Wise, ...ادامه مطلب

  • SHAFAQNA – Three UN Special Rapporteurs addressed in a letter to the Bahraini Govement “conceing” information about alleged pattes of continuous discrimination against Shia citizens (mainly Bahaa and Ajam), which have been taking place since 2011, and which are “undermining their rights to freedoms of religion, expression and culture;” in addition to the effect of the whole situation on the human rights of Shiites in the country. The address published recently on the website of the commissioner was officially sent to the Govement of Bahrain at the end of October 2015 to enquire about the reports which the UN rapporteurs deemed conceing. • A Bystander’s Guide to Standing up Against Islamophobic Harassment

  • SHAFAQNA – A Paris-based illustrator and filmmaker who goes by the handle Maeril on Tumblr has posted a short and helpful illustrated how-to guide for bystanders who want to step in and help someone experiencing Islamophobic harassment in a public place. She also made a version with a French translation as well, since she specifically hopes that her guide will help bystanders combatting the growing problem of Islamophobia in France. In her post about the guide, Maeril elaborated on that: “Some could say: ‘yes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!’, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other ‘types’ of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However I’m focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Easte woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes–that way one, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Yemen – on the engineering of a civil war and a bad case of political unilateralism

  • SHAFAQNA – If Yemen remains synonymous with unrest and violence thanks to the military deluge Saudi Arabia has insisted on drowning the impoverished nation under since late March 2015, Terror had yet to claim its fill of blood. Terror as it were never could assert its warped religious rationale onto Yemen – not beyond a few clusters, not to the point where Terror could ever present any real existential threat to the Yemeni Republic. This was then … today is a brand new day! Today, Saudi Arabia is actively working to change that reality! Saudi Arabia I would add, absolutely needs for Terror to become Yemen’s newest existential threat to counteract that which is now threatening its own. For all its outwardly show of force, and display of grand political and financial stability the kingdom sounds hollow – nothing but a waning house of cards under the terrible sun of revolutionary Arabia. • Wisdom in the actions of the Holy Prophet (SA)

  • SHAFAQNA- Then he began to formulate policies on running the society. When one takes a look and sees that the Holy Prophet (S) moved forward wisely step by step, one realizes what brilliant ideas and calculations were behind that firm determination. Naturally, this is not possible except through divine revelations. Today when people study the events that took place during those ten years, they do not understand anything. When one studies each event by separating it from the others, one does not understand anything. One should understand how these events were interrelated and how all these things were carried out with wisdom and with accurate calculation. The first important thing that that the Holy Prophet (S) did was creating unity. Not all the people of Medina became Muslims. The majority of them became Muslims and a few of them did not become Muslims. • Putin vs. Bilderberg: “Do you want another Cuban Missile Crisis?”

  • SHAFAQNA IN COLLABORATION WITH FORT RUSS – The most important information event of Friday was Vladimir Putin’s interview with Bloomberg, in which the Russian president touched on key issues on the global information agenda. I am sure that dozens of publications are going over this interview and discussing every question and answer in it, but I want to propose to you, dear friends, to look at this from a different angle. The point is that John Micklethwait, the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg who interviewed the Russian president, is not merely a joualist, but one of many joualists who has participated for many years in meetings of the Bilderberg Club as a full member of this shadow interest group whose opinions determine the policies of Weste countries. I think that this explains the unusual format of the interview and the fact that Vladimir Putin called Micklethwait a “specialist” and debated with him more like a politician than a joualist… If we look at the intervi, putin against bilderberg ...ادامه مطلب

  • Wikileaks Reveals Clinton’s Plan to Overthrow Assad to Help Israel

  • SHAFAQNA – Wikileaks has exposed an email that US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent to an unknown account on 11/30/2015, detailing the ways Israel could marginalize the Iranian threat by overthrowing the govement of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad. Clinton outlines in the first paragraph of her email, how to directly deal with the growing threat of Iran’s nuclear program: “The best way to help Israel deal with Iran’s growing nuclear capability is to help the people of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad.” As one of the main politicians calling for the removal of Assad by force, Hillary Clinton has time-and-time again revealed her hawkish nature when it comes to any exteal threat to Israel in the Middle East. • Dhu’l-Hijjah 1st; The Marriage of Fatima Zahra (SA)and Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS)

  • SHAFAQNA- God gave victory to Islam in the battle of Badr in the year 2 of Hijri. Two months after the battle, Fatima Zahra, the daughter of Muhammad Mustafa, and Ali, the son of Abu Talib were married. Fatima Zahra was only five years old when her mother – Khadija, may God bless her – died, and thenceforth, her father, Muhammad Mustafa, the Apostle of God, took charge of the duties of a mother also for her. The death of her mother had created a void in her life but her father filled it with his love and tendeess. Muhammad, the Messenger of God, gave the utmost attention to the education and upbringing of his daughter. If he was the ideal for all men, his daughter had to be the ideal for all women, and she was. He made her the ideal of womanhood in Islam. She was the personification of devotion and obedience to the Creator, and she was the embodiment of all heavenly purity and saintliness. In character and personality, she bore a most striking resemblance to her father. Fatima,, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Rohingya Muslims ‘trapped’

  • SHAFAQNA – The first time he tried to escape a tough existence in his village in weste Myanmar in 2004, Junaid Zafar was thrown in jail for five years. Like many other Rohingya Muslims, Zafar was seeking to flee poverty and persecution in Buddhist-majority Myanmar and he did not wait long after being released from jail to try again. This time, his parents sold off possessions to raise about $1,000 to pay people smugglers to take him to Malaysia. Zafar, the eldest of three siblings, finally made it in 2011.But like thousands of other Rohingya in Malaysia, he now finds himself living in a precarious limbo, having to work illegally due to official restrictions, and with resettlement to another country where he could lead a more stable life a distant dream. “I have been here for five years, some other refugees have been here for 10 years. I feel like I am wasting my life,” the tall, slender man, now 31, said. Zafar – like some 150,000 refugees and asylum-seekers in Malaysia, ma, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Islamic banking in Africa

  • SHAFAQNA – The African market for Islamic banking and finance is unique for several reasons. Among other things, the continent is witnessing an unprecedented economic growth in in last decade combined with huge market potential. Indeed, almost half of the continent’s population is Muslim Attractiveness and popularity of the industry among non-Muslims is also increasing. It is also a fact that just 20% of African families have a bank account, while many remained unbanked sometimes for religious reasons The African market is also unique given the advantage that retu on investment in Africa is higher than in any other developing region. Moreover, Islamic banking and finance in Africa is supported by a growing openness and acceptability of the system by many regulators and politicians across the continent and the industry is seen as a catalyst in reinforcing and consolidating the growing trade relation between Africa and other Muslim countries. • What’s It’s Like Being a Syrian Muslim Who Feels Ignored by the West

  • SHAFAQNA – I’ve changed my profile picture on social media many times since terror came in horrific waves, drowning the world in sorrow over the last year. But I could only use the official Facebook profile filter to show solidarity for Paris since a filter wasn’t available for Aleppo, Lahore, Istanbul, or many other attacks. I am a Syrian Muslim living in Dubai; I lost my home in Damascus at the beginning of the Syrian war in 2011. It saddens me when I read on Facebook that someone on the other side of the world thinks that because of who I am and where I live, I’m used to bombs and terror and therefore not as worthy of sympathy. Maybe that’s because the West is a place where war has been a foreign concept and red is the color of nothing but love. But let’s be clear: the sound of bombs and bullets will never be something I become immune to. I have also read comments on social media that suggest that since ISIS claims they are “Muslim,” all Muslims are bad. • Discrimination against Muslims at airports hurts fight against terrorism

  • SHAFAQNA – Recently, newspapers across the world — including in the United States, Britain and Israel — have reported on the challenges that Muslims, and people perceived to be Muslim, have faced at airports and on planes. Just last week, three siblings were removed from a plane in London and questioned by police for an hour after passengers incorrectly claimed that one of them had made references to Allah on her phone and was, therefore, a member of the Islamic State. This suspicion toward all things Islamic or seemingly Islamic has given rise to the expression “flying while Muslim.” The challenge for Weste countries where Muslim immigrants have settled is that “flying while Muslim” threatens to undermine the successes that some countries have had in actually integrating Muslims into society. We can lea a lot about this subject from the experience of Scotland. Relative to other European nations, Scotland has actually accommodated Muslim diversity quite well. • Can you be a practising Muslim and identify with the Australian way of life?

  • SHAFAQNA – With growing conces over national security, and the increased threat of those wishing to divide us, there has been recent public discussion about the future of our immigration program, and whether the values and customs of some migrant groups have a place in the Australian way of life. Negative attitudes towards Muslims in Australia seem to be based on a fear of the unknown, and this perceived difference in values and culture. Attributes we typically identify as integral to the Australian way of life – like our freedom and democracy – are commonly perceived as being at odds with Islam. It raises an interesting question – can Australian Muslims maintain their customs and traditions but still embrace and identify with the Australian way of life?
